HiveGate

With HiveGate, bees can effectively defend against robbing and regulate the conditions inside the hive.
By placing the entrance inside the hive, near the bottom of the frames and right below the cluster, the bees are always in control of their 'door'.

This opening is positioned at the front entrance of the hive

This opening is located inside the hive, near the bottom of the frames and below the cluster. This allows the colony to have complete control of the entrance.

Bees in full control of
their entrance 24/7.
Supporting your colony's wellbeing year-round.

  • HiveGate keeps colonies near the entrance in cooler temperatures, maintaining control for effective hive defence.

  • HiveGate creates a longer, more focused defence zone for improved protection.

  • Bees use body sculpting and channel creation to control the HiveGate entrance and airflow.

  • Colonies with HiveGate entrances remain active near the entrance, unlike those with standard entrances, even in colder conditions.

  • Bees actively manage airflow within the HiveGate for optimal hive conditions.

  • Clustering limits a colony's ability to regulate airflow and maintain stable internal conditions.
